From my Favorite band

I love The Academy Is...
I don't care it sounds pop-y. Not all pop is bad. Look at Motion City Soundtrack, it's definitely not "rock" in the most generally accepted sense.

NO RAIN!

It's pouring rain. I love it when it does though. It's very peaceful and makes me slow down a bit. This song is perfect for sitting on the porch and watching the rain. To listen to the song you can click on the title or download it from the link below. I have no idea what album it's from so too bad about that.

Alive with the Glory of Love

I had a dream that directly took images from this song. It sounds like a happy go lucky song but when you look at the lyrics it appears to tell a tale of Nazi work camp romance.

It's a really strangely uplifting song even though it has dark undertones.

Really the only way to experience it is listening.

Where does the good go?

Where does the good go? by Tegan and Sara is one of their best, I think.
It's full of so much emotion, and it's such a simple song.
It's not a dance song or anything, but it sure is good.
So here! Either click the title of the post, or download it http://www.sendspace.com/file/uu9c5y

Regina Spektor (3rd one down)

So i really love Regina Spektor. Many people may find her annoying. But her singing calms me and it oputs me to sleep when i need it. :) so check it out. Click on the title.

In response to my last post

Here is another oldy I find is worth mentioning. It's often eclipsed by the band's more famous songs but definitely deserves a listen.

Oldy-Moldy-Shmoldy

Personally I love oldies. This song isn't by any stretch of the imagination old but it is somewhat forgotten I feel. Not enough people still listen to it or can hum the tune or know the name.

I like to listen to it while sitting on the porch watching the sunset or in the car. It's not the most energetic but it is positive. It's a nice way to relax in the evening and think over the day.

The Beginning

I'm starting this blog in an effort to spread my idea of not limiting the music you listen to. The songs I pick will generally not be found on a radio station or Top 40 list (unless it's from years ago).

My first song!

Here I am to provide you with candy for your earholes!

Honestly I love this song. It has a country rock sounding beginning but then gets very rock. Say Anything is a really weird band but very entertaining. I love dancing to them and singing along. It's very fun.

They come up with the funniest lines in songs that still work with out the entire song being a joke. Like in this song he says:
When all that you can do is call me gay
I'm sorry I don't swing that way
find it ingenious with out taking away the integrity of the song.
Enough blabbering, GET LISTENING!
